CREATION OF UNIVERSE IN SIX DAYS ANSWER

Allah created universe in six AYYAM several verses indicate it as

Your Lord is Allah, Who created the heavens and the earth in six Ayyam and then settled Himself firmly on the Throne... (Qur'an, 7:54)

Similarly the same is referred in other verses as 32:4, 10:3, 11:7, 25:59, 57:4, 50:38

Let us look at the meaning of ayyam. There are more than 20 Muslim Interpretations which discuss the meaning of Ayyam as eras.Imam Raghib says in his Mufridat;

"And in Arabic it is indefinitely used for time and era no matter the time is how much large (whether it is an year or a century or 1000 years)" page 621 and 622

Here are few Hadiths which says the meaning of Ayyam as eras;

1.  Imam AS "It means six eras"   Tafseer e Qummi vol1 page 236

2. Hazrat Ali AS said " If Allah wanted to create he can also do in a micro second but the reason of  its creation slowly and in eras is to make example for its responsible (people) and to complete his HUJJAH"     Al Ehtijaj vol1 page 379

3. Imam As " Six days means Six eras"   Tafseer Burhan

Allah says in 41;9 

 "Is it that ye Deny Him (Allah) Who created the earth in two days"

Here is a very simple proof that six eras equal to 13.8 billion years which is according to modern science.

Scientists found that the age of Earth is 4.6 Billion Years. According to Quran this equals to two eras. Dividing 4.6 by 2 we will get 2.3 Billion Years. It means one era equals to 2.3 Billion Years. According to Holy Quran six eras will be equal to age of Universe. Now multiply 2.3 by 6 we will get 13.8 Billion Years. This is the age of Universe according to modern science.

2. Go to google .com write "age of universe " you will see on the screen approximately 13.8 Billion years.
Moreover the claim of wikiislam also contains age of universe as 13.8 Billion years.

So, there should remain no problem to non Muslims in accepting the Quranic verses because they are clearly compatible with modern science. We have proved from hadiths and Lexicon that six days mean six eras and six eras equal to the correct age of universe by the reference of age of Earth according to Holy Quran.
